Saujanaya
Gerkhutar, Nepal, November 5th, 2018

Saujanaya lives in Gerkhutar, which is up on the hill east of the main road when you are walking from Betrawati to Trishuli.

I had climbed the hill to see if I could find Prava and Pratima, a pair of sisters I had taken photos of many years ago (but it turns out, while I found their house, they are now both living in Kathmandu).

I met Saujanaya as she was in front of her house holding her report card printout from her school. She had almost all A’s and A+’s. I applauded her and told her how great that was that she did so well.

Before I left, I asked if anyone in the family had an email address so I could send copies of the photos I took. Her father (or grandfather) pictured here, wrote down an email address in my photo journal.

I tried to email the photos to the email address, but I got an auto-reply message from Gmail that the email address was not good.

If anyone has an email address or Facebook account for the family, please let me know!
